Sustainable Solutions Promotional Flyer

I was commissioned by the student lead of the ASCE Sustainable Solutions team at UW-Platteville to create a new design for the team's promotional flyer. My initial design provided the meeting information and a brief introduction to the club, prioritizing quick viewing for students scanning the flyer at a glance. However, the first version revealed a bigger challenge, and brought the true needs of this flyer to light. The flyer needed to do more than inform the audience of the club, but communicate to them why they should care and inspire them to get involved. In response to the client's feedback, refined vision, and more specific and impactful copy, I designed the second and final flyer to become a "call-to-action" for students interested in contributing their ideas to the future of sustainability. The revised design shifts the narrative around the club from being "just another offering around campus", to positioning it as a collaborative team seeking innovative thinkers to tackle real-world challenges. To establish increased credibility with this design, I incorporated the logo for the ASCE Sustainable Solutions Competition and colors from the competition's existing branding. I designed both versions of the flyer to accommodate the project's unique printing specs. Shown is my initial flyer design and the final revised design for the flyer.
